Well, I still haven’t had a chance to upload our pictures from Lori’s birthday weekend. I will get them eventually. I just keep forgetting to put them on a CD or flash drive when I am at home and I haven’t had the time to go to Panera Bread to use the internet. I will do my best to bring them tomorrow.
Just to inform all you MySpace people…the site seems to be blocked again at work, so I will only be updating when I have internet access away from work. The same goes for Facebook. It is blocked again. I promise I’m not ignoring you all…I just can’t access them!
Good news for my family…I found them a fabulous apartment…3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and almost 1600 square feet. They can move in as soon as the insurance company contacts the lease manager to confirm payment and all. It is probably the nicest apartment around here and it is only about 10 minutes from my house and maybe 15 minutes from the kids’ schools and from church. It turns out they aren’t totaling the house, so they will be living in the apartment until the house is rebuilt…they are thinking at least 6 months. At least it will be warm most of the time they are living there…they have a really nice pool and playground. Also, they have tennis courts and a gym. Here is a picture of the floor plan.

I know this is just going to sound crazy...but…please pray for our friends, Eric and Katie. Last Monday they moved into an apartment and yesterday the unit next to them started on fire and was completely destroyed. So, everyone in their building has to move out. I don’t think Eric and Katie lost anything, but I haven’t heard for sure. Katie was going over there today to see what they need to do. Katie is 39 weeks pregnant. She was home by herself asleep when the fire started and woke up to someone banging on her door to get out. Thankfully, she wasn’t hurt! Please pray that they can find a place soon! This was the first place they have had of their own…they’ve been staying with family since they got married. I know it is discouraging for them to lose it right after they moved in.

Oh my gosh! That is so terrible to hear about your friends! I will keep them in my prayers too. I can't imagine...39 weeks pregnant & dealing with that?? Great news your family found an apt & that it's only temporary, that their house will be livable again.
I'm so glad that they have found a place to live! That's so exciting!
Sorry to hear about your friends and the fire! I'm so glad everyone is ok! I'm suprised it didn't send her into labor!
My family's apartment is really nice! They just need to buy new mattresses and then they can go ahead and start moving in. Right now they don’t have anything to sleep on. Hopefully, they can get mattresses by this weekend and be staying there by the beginning of next week.
Good news about Eric & Katie…they don’t have to move! Their apartment is fine and they get to stay there. They just have to wait until the electricity is back on to go back home.
Kristin, we too thought Katie might go into labor because of the fire! Poor thing…she was so upset! It was especially hard because she was home alone and couldn’t get in touch with Eric. She is going to the doctor today, so we will see what they say!
Yikes!!!! I am so sorry to hear of the rash of fires. I am so glad they don't have to move so close to the baby coming!!!! Horrible.
Nice apt. I am impressed. Actually I would like to live there :) It has way more square ft then our house and I would love a pool. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't want it under the present circumstances though.
