Greetings From Portland Maine

Sounds a lot cooler than it really is. Actually, from all I've read and seen so far it looks like a really cool state. Problems include but are not limited to:
I don't have enough time to explore
I don't wish to explore w/out my wife.
I don't get off work early enough to go anywhere cool (South Portland isn't cool)
Weather isn't horriable but isn't great either.

All in all, I'm excited to come back next year for our trip to Cananda and New England. I've been speaking with "the locals" asking about peek foliage time so we can plan accordingly. I think it will be fun to come back. Flying in was pretty cool, coming in over the coast and seeing the rocky beaches and lighthouses. (didn't have a window seat so there are no pictures) Actually, everytime I've been out was at night and I didn't bring my tripod so I can't really get any pictures of the city either. People here are surpisingly nice. I say surprisingly because of my past experiences w/"northerners" However, the people I've met have been very personable.

Also wanted to say that being away from my wife stinks! Just thought I'd air that out there. I don't like sleeping alone and I don't like being in a new place and not being able to go out and enjoy it w/her.

My flight out of here tomorrow is at 5:30 so hopefully I'll be back at home by 11 or so. Training is ok. I get annoyed w/corporate America lingo and "procedures" Some of the things they are teaching us are very practical tools, others make me cringe at the sheer volume of stupidity involved in creating such a useless chart or meathology. People its simple, diagnose a problem, gather information, create a solution then do it. It doesn't take 14 steps and 19 flow charts to fix it.

K, I'm done ranting now. Anyway, I will be glad to be back home. Looking forward to a quiet weekend. Fall is just around the corner and that means huntin' season is nearly here. That is my ultimate form of relaxation. Plus, Colorado is coming up in a little over a month Hooray!!!

K, I have to do some homework for my presentation tomorrow. (I just rolled my eyes but you couldn't see it)
