The Time Has Come

I know you are all dying to hear the news that I’m getting my braces off (for the second time) in exactly 14 days! It is truly a miracle that I thought would never happen. Just a recap for some of you…I have a great orthodontist, but frankly the guy has no concept of time! Here’s the story…I went in for a regular retainer check on November 16, 2005. Dr. Dressler looked over my teeth and was concerned because one tooth had slightly shifted. So, he said that he would like to put my braces back on because it would be the easiest fix. Here’s where it get interesting…he said, and I quote “you should only have to wear them for about 3-4 weeks”. YES…he did say WEEKS. You do the math…the guy has no concept of time. From then on every time I went in he would say “they’re looking good”. Anyway, he did my impressions for new retainers today and the braces come off on October 3rd. It’s a good thing because the people I work with think I’m just here with my dad or something…probably think Scott is my dad. One doctor actually asked if I was 14!
