Rainy Wednesday

Don't you hate those days you have to get up when it's all rainy and dark out side? Beth is at a training class today away from the office so she got to sleep in a bit this morning but I was not so fortunate. Not too much going on. My sister still needs prayer re her house selling and unfortunately it appears that I have come down with 'the crud' so I'm not feeling so hot. We might go into VA this weekend to get away. FYI, I looked on the weather.com and it's going to be colder in VA this weekend than it is in Alaska! VA Rocks!!

I leave you w/a verse from my morning reading. Luke 9:18-22:

18Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, "Who do the crowds say I am?"
19They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life."
20"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "The Christ of God."
21Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone. 22And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."

And because of that very thing we have hope in our existence! Not because of the car we drive or the amount of money we collect but because God conquered death and sin! Those things are the difference between a futile existance and a frutiful life!

Great point Scott! I appreciated hearing about what you read today. I have struggled in this area, and you are being such a good example to me :)

Ha, colder than Alaska that is funny! But will it be colder than my beloved WI??

Thanks Scotty. It is wonderful to be reminded of what really matters in this life. All the other junk is just that...junk. It so helps to have a heavenly perspective. I was readying earlier this week that we should be unhappy and uncomfortable here on earth because we are created with an eternal desire and purpose. So bring on eternity I say!
