Back to the Lower 48

Well, we made it back home yesterday morning at 11:00. We went to my parents' house to take everyone the souvenirs that we got for them and then went home and went to bed until about 9:00 PM. We left for the airport on Saturday at 1:30 PM (Eastern Time) and arrived in Chattanooga at 10:30 AM (Eastern Time) on Sunday. So, we were really tired. It is hard to sleep on an airplane. Plus, both Lindsay and I are sick with sinus stuff, so that makes it even harder to sleep.

While in Alaska, we drove all over the state. We put almost exactly 2,100 miles on our rental van. We saw Seward, Soldotna, Homer, Fairbanks and Denali National Park. While visiting all of these locations; we saw bald eagles, sea lions, a bear, moose, some caribou and several other creatures. We also got to meet Jason Elam, kicker for the Denver Broncos. We had coffee with him and I had my picture taken with him. Once Scott gets a chance to edit it, I will post it as well.

Anyway, we had a good time! We will post pictures as soon as we can. Scott hasn't been able to edit all of them yet.

BETH!! You saw Homer!!! I'm so excited -- I hope it wasn't disappointing. We absolutely love it there & cannot wait to go again.

I adore the pic of you & your hubster kissing ~ so much love you can feel in it.

Anyway, tell me about Homer when you can!

Danna...we all loved Homer and were really glad we made it down there! The eagles were amazing! We also went to some neat shops in Homer Spit and ate at a cool restaurant on the beach!

Carrie…Scott said he will see if he can edit the picture of Jason Elam and me tonight. You can see it when you get here tomorrow.
