While You Were Out

We spent the last week and a half redoing Heather's kitchen while she was in Colorado. Lori, Adam, Joel, Luke and Jonathan all helped us. We got my mom to make the new window valances. My dad finished a couple smaller projects in the house too.

I really like the transformation...I would like to that one day. We have started with light though..we have put all new lights in our kitchen.

I would like new counter tops and change up the cabinets one day.

Anita just remodeled hers and it is amazing!

We had to do this for a little money as possible. All we bought was paint, new hinges and handles for the cabinet doors, fabric for the valences, a tablecloth, white towels and the hooks for the lunch bags. I think that was basically it. I guess we did buy wood filler to repair the fronts of the cabinet doors.

I was in so much shock that I don't think I gave a good reaction! I had traveled ALL day and was soooo tired that all I wanted was to go to bed! Then I walked into the house and my living room was rearranged and I was confused...Why would someone rearrange my living room? Who did? Then I saw the black cabinets, but it didn't register yet...I went back to the living room...Then I walked closer to the kitchen and was like...my cabinets are black! What?!! Then I walked into my kitchen and saw everyone hiding and it finally registered what was happening! So surreal!
I have to say I TOTALLY LOVE IT!!! I am very blessed to have such amazing siblings!!! :) God has SO blessed me!!
Love, Heather
