And yes, that is a camouflage skirt you see in there. I have to wear that when I go to the woods or the shooting range with Scott.
After cleaning we did a little window shopping. I am still trying to find a sewing machine. Heather's mother-in-law suggested the Babylock Ellure. I have read several reviews on it and I think that is what I want. The only thing I don't like is that it only has a card and not a USB source. I guess as long as I can transfer data it is okay. It looks like to get the Ellure Plus (which has the USB source) it will be an additional $500. It has a few more bells and whistles, but really not much. I don't think I want to spend that much more just for that one thing. But, I will look at both of them and see. It looks like I will have to go to either Atlanta or Knoxville to find one. According to the babylock website, those are the closest dealers to me. We are going to Atlanta on the 30th, so I will check out the store down there. The Knoxville store is only 80 miles from us, so that isn't too bad. Maybe we can get there one weekend.
I did get myself a nice pair of sewing shears. I won a bid on eBay last night! Most places that I've found these wanted about $40. I got them for only $11.61...that includes my shipping! I have never owned a pair of left handed scissors before...so I am excited!
Here is my other great deal of the weekend! I've been looking for a sewing box for awhile now. I've checked online and in a few stores. Pretty much...all of the boxes I've found were about $25. Yesterday I found this one at Hancock's for only $12.50! It is the prettiest one I've seen and it was on sale! So, I grabbed it.

Too CUTE LOVE LOVE LOVE the sewing Box!!!
Thank you both :)
What a great weekend! I love weekends too! I told you before but I love the sewing box! And awesome find on ebay! I'm so glad you finally have a left handed pair of scissors!!
I didn't know you liked to sew. I have a sewing machine that I haven't touched in a while but thoroughly enjoy it when I have time. I've made some curtains and quilts using it and have done a few repairs.
What are you planning on making?
Anything and everything?
I like the sewing box...I'm growing out of mine and would love a new one.
Hope you and Scott are well. Miss you both!
I love to sew, but I'm not very good. I haven't ever had my own machine...just one I used in school and my mom's when I was younger. I'd like to be able to sew whatever I want...gotta start somewhere I guess. :)
Thanks! I really love the new box! I thought it was really pretty.
I wish you could've seen my smile when I read "we are going to Atlanta on the 30th" -- I am STILL smiling. Beth!!
I'm sorry I've not contacted you about the ceremony. I've been completely avoiding it. You & Betty offered help, & I've been like "la la la la, I can't hear you!" And now . . . what are we, 2 weeks away or something?
Paul & I sat down last night & finally compiled ideas into a program of sorts. I will send you that. For the reception, we are really limited b/c of the diets in our home -- Karis' autism restrictions & then Paul's celiac's disease & Ryan's asthma allergies. Soooooooo, I will email you my ideas there. What on earth am I doing babbling away on your poor blog???
Ha! No worries, Danna. Just let me know if you need any help...whenever you feel like it :) Yay...I'm excited to finally meet you in person :)
wow! you are so very domesticated. I am impressed. Wowzers, that closet is neat and organized. I love having stuff like that done.
Danna! I didn't know Paul was a celiac....my mom is too! Yikes, so many limitations with that.
I LOVE having my closets and drawers and cabinets all neat and organized!
