I'm just now getting around to posting some pictures. Sorry for the delay it's been kinda busy. For those of you on Facebook you've probably already seen most of these.
This was our camp
This was our camp
This was our camp friend
Our first day's hunt included some snow
Our second day's hunt was the East Fork of Sheep Creek
Damon and his dad trying to find us some elk on the map.
Here's some scenery from Monday I think it was.
It got kinda chilly when the sun went down. I look like I'm ready... unfortunatly I didn't see any elk that day. Finally on Wednesday we broke through:
Damon was nice enough to cart her back to camp for me.

Loooove the third to last picture! Should be framed....you can put that up in your bedroom next to the elk head...I am sure Beth would love that :)
I was planning to print that one for my desk at work. Thankfully, we will not be hanging a head anywhere...this was just a cow and not a bull.
Congratulations on getting your Elk. Ryan will be hunting in CO in 2 weeks for Elk! He's SOOO excited!
Beth-Your lucky you don't have heads all over!!! Our garage has about 4 heads a Javelina and several fish that had been mounted. I guess that's what I get for marring a hunter and a taxidermist!!! I wouldn't NOT allow them in my beautiful house so he got the garage! =)
_ I too love that image!! I'm glad you are printing it!!! =)
Ha...well, the garage isn't too bad. I just don't want those things staring at me at night.
Hi There!
I loved all your picture's-- the bottom one was my favorite of the bunch.
Take care,
Deb T.
Great pictures, our neighbor is going on a week long hunting trip next week.. Do you have any good recipes for elk steak???
Beth, I tagged you over on my blog..
Umm...Scott made some steak the other night and just marinated it in Italian dressing. He might have some other ideas for you though. I do not eat red meat, so I really don't know :)
Hey Deb! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
