The Alaskan Wildlife - Sea Life

We were very fortunate to see both Humpback whales and Orca (killer) whales on our cruise the last day. It’s still a little cold for them but some of them are native to the area so they stay year around. They didn’t give us too much of a show, just slowly peaked out of the water. However, on our trip back to port, Beth and I did see a Humpback whale jump completely out of the water just like you see on TV! Unfortunately, at the time we were inside drinking hot chocolate and missed getting any photos.

Orca Whales

Sea Lions are also very common in the Resurrection Bay area.

Harbor Seals are also quite common.
